Surface wave reflection from a metasurface termination

چکیده

Abstract The reflection coefficient of a microwave surface wave incident at the termination metasurface is explored. Two different types are examined. One square array metallic patches on dielectric-coated ground plane, other Sievenpiper ‘mushroom’ array. In latter fields more confined within structure. Comparison measured surface-wave spectra made with that obtained from analytic theory and numerical modelling. shown to be dependent both momentum mismatch between freely propagating modes as well field distributions two modes.
